Business continuity has moved from a theoretical resilience exercise to a board level risk concern. Disruptions driven by cyber incidents, supply chain failures, geopolitical instability, and regulatory pressure have made ISO 22301 audits far more demanding than checklist based conformity reviews. Auditors are now expected to assess whether organizations can actually sustain critical activities under stress.
This training positions participants to audit Business Continuity Management Systems as they operate in reality. You will work through the full audit lifecycle, from audit planning and scoping to evidence collection, nonconformity formulation, and follow up. Emphasis is placed on understanding how business impact analysis, risk assessment, continuity strategies, and recovery plans interact during real incidents.
Rather than repeating clause by clause explanations, the course challenges participants to interpret ISO 22301 requirements in operational contexts. You will assess leadership involvement, integration with other management systems, and the effectiveness of testing and exercising programs. Audit activities are framed around risk, criticality, and impact, reflecting how certification bodies and regulators now evaluate BCMS maturity.
