DORA Training & Certification: Digital Operational Resilience

The Digital Operational Resilience Act for financial entities and their ICT providers: the five pillars, who is in scope, and the certification pathway to operational resilience.

DORA, for financial-sector compliance leaders

The Digital Operational Resilience Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2554) has applied since 17 January 2025. It sets uniform requirements for the security of network and information systems across banks, insurers, investment firms and their critical ICT third-party providers. For CISOs and Heads of Compliance in financial services, DORA turns operational resilience from good practice into a supervised obligation.

This hub gathers Abilene Academy's DORA guidance, the DORA Lead Manager certification, and the adjacent operational-resilience and business-continuity training that together build a defensible resilience programme.

Who is affected

DORA applies to a broad range of EU financial entities and, importantly, to the ICT third-party providers that serve them. Swiss financial institutions and service providers with EU operations or EU clients are frequently drawn in through contractual and group requirements.

Switzerland

Swiss banks, insurers and ICT providers serving EU financial entities are commonly bound by DORA-aligned contractual and oversight requirements, even without direct application.
