Is the certification exam included?

Yes. The ISO/TS 31050 Emerging Risks Manager course includes the PECB certification exam, along with the official training materials. If you do not pass on the first attempt, you qualify for a free retake within 12 months.

The certification exam is part of the course, not a separate purchase. When you enrol in the ISO/TS 31050 Emerging Risks Manager training you are enrolling in the path to the credential, which means the two-hour PECB exam is included in what you pay.

The exam itself is multiple-choice, runs for two hours, and requires a score of 70 percent to pass. It can be sat online through PECB, and it covers the three competence domains taught across the two days, so the training and the assessment are aligned by design rather than tested against unrelated material.

A first-attempt result is not the end of the road if it does not go your way. The course includes a free retake within 12 months, which removes the pressure of a single sitting and gives you a clear second chance without an extra fee. Participants also receive more than 300 pages of official training materials to prepare with and keep.

What sits outside the course fee is the PECB certification application step that follows a passing result, where you submit your professional experience and agree to the code of ethics. That is a standard part of every PECB credential rather than something specific to this course.

Related Information

  • Exam included in the course fee
  • Exam: 2 hours, multiple choice, 70% to pass, taken online
  • Free retake within 12 months if the first attempt does not pass
  • More than 300 pages of official materials included
  • PECB application step follows separately after passing

I tell people not to fixate on the exam. If you can actually run the process across the two days, the exam takes care of itself.
