Supply chain security has become a core governance and risk issue rather than a purely operational concern. In the 2024–2025 context, organizations face heightened exposure to disruptions, theft, geopolitical instability, cyber intrusion, and regulatory scrutiny across global supply chains. ISO 28000:2022 provides a structured framework to manage these risks, but effective implementation requires more than formal compliance.
This four-day ISO 28000 Lead Implementer course is designed for professionals responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining a Supply Chain Security Management System (SCSMS) that functions under real operational conditions. Participants learn how to translate ISO 28000 requirements into governance structures, risk controls, and operational practices that protect supply chain integrity and support business continuity.
The course follows the full SCSMS lifecycle. Participants work through system initiation, scope definition, security risk assessment, planning of controls, implementation, monitoring, and continual improvement. Particular emphasis is placed on aligning security objectives with operational realities, supplier relationships, and organizational risk appetite. The training also addresses documentation, performance evaluation, and management review as tools for decision-making rather than administrative formality.
Preparation for certification audits is integrated throughout the program. Participants learn how to structure an SCSMS that is defensible during audits and how to demonstrate effectiveness through evidence, metrics, and corrective actions. By the end of the course, participants are equipped to lead ISO 28000 implementation projects and support organizations through certification with confidence.
The certification exam is included, available online in English, and has a duration of three hours.
