How long is the ISO 9001 Transition course and how is it delivered?

The ISO 9001 Transition course runs over two days and ends with a one-hour PECB exam. Abilene Academy delivers it onsite in Morges, as virtual live training with an instructor, or as self-study with 365 days of access. All three formats lead to the same exam and credential.

Day one introduces ISO 9001:2026 and compares it with ISO 9001:2015 on structure, context of the organization and leadership. Day two moves clause by clause through planning, support, operation, performance evaluation and improvement, and closes with the certification exam, a one-hour multiple-choice session.

About 40 percent of the time is instruction and 60 percent is exercises. Participants classify changes, trace their impact to procedures and records, and draft transition actions, with short quizzes at the end of each block.

Onsite training takes place in Morges, in French-speaking Switzerland. Virtual live is the same instructor-led course delivered remotely in real time. Self-study gives you the full programme at your own pace for 365 days. Every format includes more than 150 pages of materials and a 14 CPD credit attestation.

Whichever format you choose, you finish with the same working method: a gap analysis applied to a sample QMS, ready to reuse on your own system.
