What does the MS-102 exam test?
The MS-102 exam tests Microsoft 365 tenant configuration, hybrid identity synchronization, MFA and SSPR management, threat evaluation with Secure Score and Identity Protection, and security operations with Microsoft 365 Defender. The passing score is 700.
The MS-102 exam tests five core areas: configuring a Microsoft 365 tenant with users, licenses, groups, and roles; implementing identity synchronization with Azure AD Connect or Cloud Sync; managing MFA and self-service password reset; evaluating threat exposure with Secure Score and Identity Protection; and conducting security operations with Microsoft 365 Defender services.
The exam also tests applying retention, DLP, encryption, and sensitivity label controls and producing administrative evidence for security and compliance review. The passing score is 700.
