At least one M365 role-based certification path or equivalent hands-on practice is required. Working familiarity with user and group administration, cloud concepts, and basic identity and security operations is expected.
Without that foundation, the practical exercises in the 5-day course will be unmanageable. Professionals new to M365 administration should build foundational skills through role-based certifications such as MS-900 or a workload-specific path before attending MS-102.
