ISO 9001 Transition is a two-day PECB course that teaches quality professionals every difference between ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 9001:2026 and how to update a certified QMS to meet the new edition. It ends with a one-hour PECB exam leading to the PECB Certified ISO 9001 Transition credential.
The course exists because ISO published ISO 9001:2026 on 16 September 2026, the sixth edition of the standard, and every organization certified to ISO 9001:2015 now has to move to it. It is built for people who already run or audit a QMS, so it spends its time on what changed rather than on quality management fundamentals.
Day one covers the structure of the revision, context of the organization and leadership. Day two works through planning, support, operation, performance evaluation and improvement, using the changed clauses of ISO 9001:2026 as the reference. Around 60 percent of the time goes to exercises in which participants classify each change as new, revised, reorganized or unchanged and decide which procedures, records and owners it affects.
The course closes with a one-hour, multiple-choice exam that leads to the PECB ISO 9001 Transition certification. Participants also receive more than 150 pages of training material, a 14 CPD credit attestation and a free exam retake within 12 months.

The PECB Certified ISO 9001 Transition credential shows you understand the differences between ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 9001:2026 and can plan and implement the changes in a QMS. It requires a one-hour multiple-choice exam with a 70% pass mark and no professional experience.
