It is a four-day course that develops the expertise to establish, implement, manage, and maintain an OH&S management system aligned to ISO 45001:2018. It also prepares you to plan monitoring and improvement and to get ready for a certification audit.
ISO 45001 Lead Implementer training is designed for professionals responsible for implementing an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OH&S MS) based on ISO 45001:2018. The course is structured around implementation work, from initiating the system to preparing for certification audit. The program starts with the fundamentals of occupational health and safety, standards and regulatory frameworks, and initiation activities such as understanding the organization and its needs and analyzing the existing system. It then moves into planning: leadership and worker participation, defining scope, setting OH&S policy and objectives, and identifying hazards while assessing risks and opportunities.Implementation topics include resource management, awareness and communication, documentation management, operational management, and emergency preparedness and response. The final section covers monitoring, measurement, analysis and performance evaluation, internal audit, management review, treatment of nonconformities and incidents, continual improvement, and certification audit preparation.Exam fees are included. Certification is available. The exam is delivered online and has a stated duration of three hours.
Implementation quality shows up in the routines you establish: how hazards and risks are identified and kept current, how operational controls are applied, and how nonconformities and incidents are treated and verified. A workable OH&S system is not only policy and documentation. It is a set of repeatable practices supported by leadership participation, competent roles, and a monitoring cycle that feeds management review and continual improvement.Use the program structure to keep your implementation sequence coherent and audit-ready.

View courseThis 5-day course prepares participants to plan, implement, monitor, and continually improve an environmental management system (EMS) conformant with ISO 14001. Organizations face mounting regulatory pressure under the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and national environmental legislation, making structured EMS implementation a core governance requirement rather than a voluntary initiative. Abilene's trainers are active environmental management consultants who bring real gap analyses and nonconformity cases into every session, not textbook scenarios. The course targets professionals responsible for leading or supporting EMS implementation, conformity assurance, or environmental management consultancy.
