Do I need ISO 9001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor before the Transition course?

No certification is required, but you need working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, ideally from implementing, maintaining or auditing a certified QMS. The course covers only the differences. Without prior ISO 9001 exposure, take ISO 9001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor first.

How do you run an ISO 9001:2026 gap analysis?

Compare each changed ISO 9001:2026 requirement with your current processes and records, classify it as new, revised, reorganized or unchanged, and note whether you already meet it. Give every gap an owner, a date and the evidence that will close it, then verify through an internal audit and management review before the transition audit.

ISO 9001:2026 splits clause 6.1 into 6.1.1 to 6.1.3 so that risks and opportunities are determined, evaluated and acted on separately.
